Middle Filter

The Middle Filter, often referred to as a secondary or intermediate filter, is designed to capture smaller particulates that were not captured by the initial pre-filter. It typically follows the pre-filter in a multi-stage filtration system. The Middle Filter's role is to provide additional filtration to ensure that finer particles are removed before the air or fluid reaches the final filter, which often includes a HEPA or activated carbon filter.

The frequency of replacement or cleaning for a Middle Filter depends on factors such as the environment, the level of contamination, and the manufacturer's recommendations. Generally, it should be checked regularly and replaced every 6-12 months, or cleaned if it is a washable type, to maintain optimal filtration performance. In environments with high dust or particulate levels, more frequent maintenance may be necessary.

A Middle Filter differs from a pre-filter and a final filter in its placement and function within a filtration system. The pre-filter is the first stage and captures larger particles to protect subsequent filters. The Middle Filter, located between the pre-filter and final filter, captures smaller particles that the pre-filter missed.
